Floribert Chebeya Resource Centre

DefendDefenders hosts the Floribert Chebeya Resource Centre in Kampala, Uganda. The resource centre offers a wide range of tools and human rights literature, including computers and internet services, for human rights defenders (HRDs) to enhance their skills.

Floribert Chebeya Bahizire was a prominent HRD in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He led the Voix des Sans Voix (Voice of the Voiceless) human rights organization.

Chebeya’s body was found on June 2nd , 2010, after he had visited police headquarters in Kinshasa

The resource centre is in memory of Floribert Chebeya.
